New theme

It's new theme time!!
*rings bells*
Any comments, suggestions, etc.?

It took me a while to find something Bruno. I kinda wanted a pic of him in his Gringoire outfit, but it didn't work. Couldn't find one that was big enough. So then I thought it would be cool to have a stained glass image, but then I have the problem of finding a font/type color that could be read over that. *sigh* Such troubles have I.
Anywhoo, this is what I pulled out of my hat. *cough* Love it or leave it, chicas. I can't please everyone.

I started making my flashcards for Spanish. I've got one hundred completed and that's only for lesson one! Of course, I know almost all of them, but I figured it would be good to have them on hand.

It's so odd not be in church on Sunday night. Very odd.

Well, it's almost 11:30. I suppose I should head to bed.

Three cheers for Aragorn!!

Ya know, Bruno would make a nice Aragorn. Hhhmmmm.....James might have some competition...

Buenas noches, chicas!

Hey, hey, hey!!!

I'M BAAAAACK!!!!!!!
*kisses everyone*
Did you miss me?
No, I didn't fall off the planet.
First I was sick and then *shudder* I didn't have the internet for days.
It's been tough, ya'll, but I've made it.
So, it's back to pointless and self-indulgent blogging again!!

WOOOHHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Well, today Mother and I drove to Sonoma and went to a travel fair. I've decided that I want to go on a European river cruise. I just need a couple thousand dollars. Donation will be fine, just make the check out to me.

Bruno and Percy are doing just dandy. Bruno knows who feeds him, so he tries to get my attention when I walk by. If I can't get that from the human with then name, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the fish. *grin*

Goodness, I'm typing extremely fast. My fingers must think they have hours to make up. :)

I seem to be stuck on Notre Dame de Paris lately. I now have it in four languages - French, English, Russian and Spanish. I would really like to get the Italian cast album as well. Must keep searching.

So, Sal, can I have your kingdom now?
*wink*

Ciao, darlings!!!

Bruno!

Can you see my halo?

You are the blue moonlight. You are peaceful and
serene, kind and loving. Your heart never
stears you wrong. You let out uncertainess with
tears, and you let out fear with light. The
blue light means distance. You are afraid to
get to close to people. You have been betrayed
once before and can't do it again. Your dream
job could consist of a counsler or a traveler.
You love humanity and lonliness. You will have
love in your life and will never pass by
unnoticed. Your beauty attracts many, but your
personality is rare. The uniqness in your mind
will always separate you. You can always find
yourself lingering near the ocean, thinking
about life. Your head seema to be up in the
clouds, though you body is down omn Earth. You
change and each time come back a better person.
The blue moonliht will always guide to safety
in the darkest hour.

A new addition to the family

Well folks, the time finally came.
I decided that I wanted to get a fish. Since Harry and Irene met rather tragic ends at the hands....er....paws of my other child, it took me a while to heal.
We were at WalMart on Sunday and I got a Shubunkin. Odd name, heh? They look like a cross between a goldfish and a koi. The one I got is white, gold, black, and kind of a brownish grey color. He's very colorful. *grin*
He didn't move much for the first couple of days, but when I woke up this morning, I could see him swimming around.
His name is Bruno Buntrock. I'll let you figure it out. *wink*

It's raining again. There is supposed to be some big storm coming in. Yippee.

Robert Frost - Going for Water

The well was dry beside the door,
And so we went with pail and can
Across the fields behind the house
To seek the brook if still it ran;

Not loth to have excuse to go,
Because the autumn eve was fair
(Though chill), because the fields were ours,
And by the brook our woods were there.

We ran as if to meet the moon
That slowly dawned behind the trees,
The barren boughs without the leaves,
Without the birds, without the breeze.

But once within the wood, we paused
Like gnomes that hid us from the moon,
Ready to run to hiding new
With laughter when she found us soon.

Each laid on other a staying hand
To listen ere we dared to look,
And in the hush we joined to make
We heard, we knew we heard the brook.

A note as from a single place,
A slender tinkling fall that made
Now drops that floated on the pool
Like pearls, and now a silver blade.

Relative Values

My aunt Sharon is here from Texas. She's cool. I gave her the tour of the house and she told me later (after she talked to Uncle Steve) that she was misinformed, that the tour was incorrect.
I referred to my room as "my room" and Steve said that it is his room.
lol
He's special, so he gets to sleep in my room when he visits.
:)

It's been gray and rainy all day and only about 50 degrees...after a week of 65 and sun.
*sigh*
It was nice while it lasted.

Hmph

Okay, Miss Picky Cabbage. The pink is gone.
Happy now?

Figure this one out...

Last night I had a dream in which Reina and I were teaching Sunday School and she told me that Joshua Bell was going to come to our class and play for us.

*sigh*
I think this falls under the "Dreams as SubConscious Wishes" category.

We interrupt this broadcast for a special alert

Just wanted to let everyone that James signed on to AOL a few minutes ago. This is the first time I've seen him on in months.
Wonder what's up. Maybe he's finally updating that blasted site of his.
*hmph*

Robert Doisneau

When we were in LA, we went to the Roberto Doisneau exhibit at the LA public library. Most people know him for this photograph...

I loved this one....he's trying to do his mathematics. *grin*

Doorbell ditching has been around longer than I realized. *grin*

Another Monday

Sorry, luvies, for not writing in so long.
I beg your pardon. *begs*

Our little outing to LA was great. The ride didn't seen too long and the show was great. We saw Rodolfo on the street afterwards and that was cool. *grin* Lissa thinks that he was checking Heidi out. *laughs*

I got my Bruno Christmas cd. Yeesh, it's lovely. Boy can that dude sing!!! Woohoo!!
*grin*

Fantasma de la Opera is way cool. Very interesting. Christine is wonderful, probably my favorite that I've heard. She isn't annoying, which is kind of rare. Raoul isn't so hot, but he isn't totally unbearable. Erik is very unique. Sort of husky and rough but pleasant. The orchestra is lovely as is the sound. *sigh*

I got 89/95 on my Spanish test. Not bad. *pats self on back*

Have I mentioned that Bruno can sing?

It was a nice idea...

I discovered that Josh Bell is going to be in Modesto on March 13.
After searching websites and calling the box office, I found that the tickets are 75 bucks.
Ouch.
He is also going to be at Stanford the following day, Sunday.
There were 18 tickets left, at 35 bucks. Not bad.
So I call Lissa and try to get a hold of Gretchen.
After some thought, I decided to drop the idea.
It would be too hard on a Sunday...I would miss church and school and Lissa would have to take the day off, etc.
*sigh*
It was a nice idea.
Oh well.
*sniff*
